We will ensure your first visit to MB Orthodontics is an enjoyable experience where your orthodontic needs will be discussed in a friendly and private environment. The appointment is informative, yet informal, and you are encouraged to ask questions. We’re here to help you and will happily clarify anything you do not fully understand.

On arrival, you will be greeted by one of our friendly receptionists who will show you our electronic check-in station and explain how it works. We will also confirm whether we have received all the relevant information and that your details are correct.

The first appointment usually takes around 30–60 minutes and consists of a comprehensive examination by Dr Barva, followed by a full explanation of any problems and the recommended treatment. The orthodontist will listen to your concerns and answer any questions you may have.

Next, our treatment coordinator will “show and tell” the appliance(s) to you and explain how they work. She will also prepare a written quote for the recommended treatment and discuss payment options with you. If you are ready to start treatment, you are welcome to book your next appointment, or you may wish to discuss your options at home and call back later. At no point will you feel pressured to enter into treatment. It is important to us that you feel comfortable and fully informed about your decision.
